Chesterfield deep-button style

According to the always-wise Wikipedia, only "older" Canadians still use the term 'chesterfield' and apparently, this term is quickly vanishing from Canadian English!  Well...we can't have that.  Chesterfield is one of my favourite words of all time so let's try to use it more.  Until I moved away from PEI, I thought this was the only word to describe what I now call a sofa or couch.  Now, I associate 'chesterfield' with this deep-buttoned style, which is so classic and timeless and looks great with modern or traditional pieces, whether in leather or upholstery.

Luccia Sofa by Cisco Brothers....Cisco rocks this style and you check out this gallery for some amazing images of their sustainable furniture in action

Looks like velvet...upholstered bed I spotted on Plush Palate - This room has so many of my favourite things....will have to find out more about it.

Last but not least this classic design feature on chairs as seen in (and on the cover) of House Beautiful

  1. I've seen those silver/metallic bedside tables/dressers (as in photo #2) at Winners and at Pier I lately... love them.

    Also, ADORE the poof.
